They went as recruits; we welcome them back as firefighters.
Seven Chirumanzu Rural District Council staff members one female and six males successfully completed a rigorous one year fire fighting training programme at the City of Harare Fire Brigade Training Centre. They graduated on Tuesday, 21 July, at a colourful ceremony officiated by the Deputy Minister of Local Government and Public Works.
Chirumanzu RDC was one of only three rural local authorities whose fire fighters participated in the joint intensive training programme following the delivery of fire tenders. The successful completion of this training marks a significant milestone in strengthening the Council’s emergency response capacity and its commitment to protecting lives and property within the district.
